Okay, here it is. I’ve found it. The most delicious junk food ever. Remember my review of the original flavoured Snapea Crisps? Well, I’ve just discovered the Caesar flavoured ones and I think I may never eat chips again (okay, that’s probably a lie, but these are really good).
I visited Topia Greenstop again today and picked up these Caesar flavoured crisps on my way out because I loved the original ones so much. It’s hard to believe that these ones are even better than the original ones.
No artificial colour, no artificial flavour, all awesome.
It’s Friday! Let’s indulge in something both greenand adorable.
Exhibit A – Hammy the hamster. Does he prefer organic baby carrots over regular ol’ baby carrots? Will he choose pesticide free broccoli? Whatever he chooses, I promise you – watching him nomnomnom some delicious looking veggies is worth sitting through this video trial. And hey, you might be surprised by the tally!
These are the only truly Canadian kettle cooked potato chip!
The difference between our Hardbite potato chips and conventional potato chips is the method of cooking. Hardbite means kettle cooked by hand, the old fashion way, batch by batch. Through storage, potatoes change the moisture and sugar content. Regular adjustments have to be made to cooking times and temperatures. Hardbite potato chips are never cooked over 300 degrees. This is a true hands on, kettle style potato chip.
Ingredients: Himalayan crystal salt, non hydrogenated mid oleic vegetable oils, and torula yeast
Using a non hydrogenated oil will lower the intake of saturated and trans fats. This helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. It reflects our understanding of the concerns of Canadian consumers while ensuring we do not compromise on taste. We are proud to offer Canadians one more way to make good food choices, healthier choices with their favorite food.
Awesome! They taste great and are good for me. Now that’s something!
You can pick these up, of course, at Topia Greenstop (Woodward at Clyde, Ottawa ON).
New Leaf Plum Green Tea is made with real plum and pure cane sugar. It’s also certified organic! I love their slogan:
We thought, hmm, what else could we create that would be a quite unique and refreshing tea? Something no one else would have the spunk to conjure up? So call us Plum crazy. Here’s a mild Plum flavour that gives our Green Tea a super alluring sweet zing. When you think about it this tea is actually plum sane!

Remember the delightful taste of a frozen orange & cream popsicle on a hot summer’s day? I sure do.
Boylan Bottleworks Orange Cream is a creative combination of our very popular Orange soda flavor and the smooth delicate taste of our Creme soda. These two flavors do extremely well on their own, but when combined they create a flavor, reminiscent of this classic summertime treat, that everyone is sure to love.
Calbee Snack Salad Snapea Crisps come in both original and Caesar flavour. They’re made from green peas, corn oil, and rice and they’re lightly salted… and also certified organic! I almost couldn’t believe it! Check out the above video to see what I thought of them.
I got them at Topia Greenstop (Woodward at Clyde, Ottawa ON).
Simon and I tried out Kombucha Wonder Drink — here’s what we thought!
Kombucha Wonder Drink is a “sparkling fermented tea” made with asian pear, ginger, and oolong tea. It’s also certified organic! I got it at Topia Greenstop (Woodward at Clyde, Ottawa ON).
